Johnson Central was scheduled to host Bishop Sycamore Friday night.
But after totalprosports.com and many other outlets started questioning the legitimacy of the football program, the Golden Eagles decided to cancel the game.
Johnson Central Athletics confirmed the game’s cancellation Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles had to cancel their game last week and will be looking for a replacement for Bishop Sycamore this week.
The Golden Eagles knocked off Henry Clay 60-21 in their only game this season.
Johnson Central took on Bishop Sycamore in 2019 and knocked off the team 34-8.
Bishop Sycamore came under fire after playing the nation’s top ranked high school football team IMG Academy out of Florida after the game aired on ESPN.
The Golden Eagles will try and find a new game before Friday night.
