Paintsville and Johnson Central were scheduled to square off in the 57th District championship game Tuesday evening at Sheldon Clark.

The Lady Tigers picked up an 8-1 win over Sheldon Clark to advance to the district championship.

Johnson Central rolled to a 15-0 win over Magoffin County in four innings to Monday evening to advance to the championship game.

Johnson Central pitcher Chloe VanHoose threw a one-hitter and struck out nine in the shutout win. Abby Fannin had a huge day for the Lady Golden Eagles. Fannin homered, doubled, singled, drove in five runs and scored three runs.

Alaina Castle went three for three with a pair of doubles a single and an RBI. Chloe Lafferty added a pair of doubles and two RBIs.

Both Paintsville and Johnson Central will advance to the 15th Region Tournament at Floyd Central.
