Moore at Johnson Central

Johnson Central’s Dylan Preston runs with the ball last Friday against South Charleston. The Golden Eagles picked up a 42-14 win. Johnson Central will host Moore Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Notes: Moore picked up a 42-14 win over Jeffersontown last week, while Johnson Central rolled to a 43-13 win over South Charleston.

Larry Johnson leads the rushing attack for Moore. Johnson has a team-high 258 rushing yards and two TDs on 28 carries. Dewayne Cameron follows with 233 rushing yards and three TDs on 26 carries. Kriston McMurray has 100 yards rushing and a TD on 16 carries.

Moore quarterback Rae Von Vaden is 29 for 46 passing for 585 yards and 10 TDs with two interceptions.

Johnson Central running back Joe Jackson had his best performance of the season last week. Jackson rushed for 197 yards and four TDs on 17 carries. He also added 32 yards and a TD on two catches.

Quarterback Ryley Preece struggled last week as he was three for nine passing for 69 yards, a TD and two interceptions.

On the season, Jackson leads Johnson Central with 401 rushing yards and six TDs on 59 carries. 

Preece is 15 for 31 passing for 314 yards, one TD and four interceptions. He has also rushed for 118 yards and three TDs.

Ryan Sartin-Slone leads the Golden Eagles receivers with six catches for 199 yards. Jackson has four catches for 57 yards and a TD.

Alex and Matt Horn lead the defense for the Golden Eagles with 23 total tackles each. Devin Johnson follows with 22 tackles.Alex Horn leads Johnson Central in sacks with three, while Matt Horn follows with two sacks.

Preece has the only interception for the Golden Eagles. 

Who 2 Watch: Johnson Central quarterback Ryley Preece. 

Preece will look to have a bounce back game against Moore. 

Preece can run and throw the ball.

With Jackson coming back into form so that should help alleviate some pressure for Preece.

If Preece has a big game, look for the Golden Eagles to get another big win.
