Paintsville and Johnson Central met up for a double-header Tuesday night as in boys’ and girls’ soccer action. 

Johnson Central’s boys snuck by with a 2-1 victory over the Tigers for their second win of the season after dropping loses to Lawrence County and Russell last week. 

Johnson Central has a double-header in Greenup County Saturday morning August 25th starting at 10:00 a.m.

Paintsville 5,

Sheldon Clark 0

The Tigers picked up their first win of the season with a 5-0 shutout over Sheldon Clark.

The Johnson Central Lady Eagles continued their hot start with a 4-0 record to start the season. The Lady Eagles have yet to have a point scored on them, as they cruised past Paintsville in an 8-0 blowout. Lauren Johnson had a big game coming home with five goals. Haley Lynkins, Lexi Scarberry, and Cleo Wells each recored a goal. 

Paintsville knocked off Sheldon Clark 1-0 Thursday evening to pick up its first win of the season.

The Lady Tigers struggled offensively but managed to pull off the win with a late game goal by Chloe Fleming to pull off the victory. Hope Auxier had 17 saves to keep the Cardinals scoreless in the match.
