Golden Eagles’ 2019 Schedule

Johnson Central’s schedule will look a bit different this season after the district re-alignment.

Johnson Central will remain in Class 4 District 8, but they’ll welcome in Clay County, Perry Central, Harlan County and Letcher Central as district foes this season.

Clay County competed in Class 4A District 6 last season, while Perry Central, Harlan County and Letcher Central all dropped from Class 5A District 8 to Class 4A District 8 this season.

The Golden Eagles will open play in Week 0 against Lafayette on August 23. The KHSAA website doesn’t have a site listed as of now.

In their second, third and fourth games, the Golden Eagles will face off with opponents from out-of-state. Johnson Central will take on Capital, W.Va. on the road in the second game of the season. After their bye week, Johnson Central will follow that up with another road game in W.Va. against South Charleston September 13. The third out-of-state opponent will see the Golden Eagles host Sycamore from Cincinnati, Ohio.

On September 27, the Golden Eagles will host Simon Kenton and then face district opponents Clay County, Perry Central, Harlan County and Letcher Central.

Johnson Central will finish the season at Belfry November 1.
