Ruth Long Conley age 98 of Oil Springs, Kentucky entered her eternal home on April 19, 2019.
She was born December 9, 1920 in Johnson County, a daughter of the late Lundy and Tennie Spradlin Long. Ruth was a wonderful mother. She was a homemaker who liked to sew. She worked on the family farm and enjoyed taking pictures of her family and friends.
Her greatest enjoyment however was attending church. She accepted the lord as her personal Savior while in her twenties. She was always faithful to the Lord and to her home church, which she attended as long as her health would permit.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Hershel Conley; her son, Roger Willis Conley; one brother, Joe Long; and four sisters, Theo Blanton, May Risner, June Blevins and Agnes Colvin.
Ruth is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Sarah Bailey (Don) of Lomansville, Susan Sanor (Dennis) of Oil Springs; a daughter-in-law Shirlene Davis Conley of Morehead; three grandchildren Anthony Willis Conley of Morehead, Ross Conley Sanor of Oil Springs and Tina Renee Risner (Stevie) of Pikeville. She has one great-grandchild, Taryn Loran Risner of Pikeville, also several nieces and nephews.
Over the past four years she was cared for by her daughters and faithful and loving caregivers Cheryl Collinsworth, Joyce VanHoose, Sharon Adkins, Mary Blanton, Edith Hinkle, Brenda Newsome, Laura Penn, Claudia Webb and Lucy Potter.
The caregivers took wonderful care of her and the family will always be grateful for their invaluable care.
Funeral Services were held Monday, April 22, 11 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Lykins officiating. Burial was at the Litteral Cemetery at Oil Springs.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, 1 p.m. at the Meally Church of Christ, for Leonard Davis, 88, of Meally who died Tuesday, April 23 at the Greg and Norene Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
