Robert Adams

1955-2018

Robert “Ridge Runner” Lee Adams, age 63, of Flat Gap, passed away October 15, 2018 at his home.   

Robert was born July 17, 1955 to James and Pauline Adams in Johnson County. He is survived by his wife Jamie Adams; one daughter, Christal (John) Music; two sons, James Robert Dunkle (Jim Bob) and Bradley E Adams; mother and father, James and Pauline Adams; two sisters, Kathy (Hobert) Blair and Roberta (Eddy Joe) Fairchild; one brother, James Michael (Wilma) Adams; five grandchildren, Christopher White, Austin White,  Emily Music, Natalie Music, Brenlynn Music; one sister-in-law, Connie Allen; one brother-in-law, Thomas James Dunkle; and a host of nieces and nephews.                                             

The funeral was Friday, October 19 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial in the Adams Webb Cemetery in Staffordsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for contributions to be made toward the funeral expenses by contacting the Paintsville Funeral Home.

All arrangements are under the direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.

Betty Blanton

1939-2018

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 20, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Betty Jean Taylor Blanton, 78, formerly of Staffordsville, died Thursday, Oct. 18 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.

Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville.

Billie Caudill

1936-2018

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 23, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home for Billie Lou Kestner Caudill, 82, of Swamp Branch, who died Friday, Oct. 19 at her residence.

Burial was in the Pete Bayes Cemetery at Swamp Branch.

James Lowell Caudill

1927-2018

Graveside services were held Saturday, Oct. 20, 1 p.m. at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Staffordsville, for James Lowell Caudill, 91, of Flat Gap, who died Thursday, Oct. 18 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.

Dr. Bradley Collins

Dr. Bradley Grant Collins, 40, husband of Jonathan Barreto, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018.

Born in Pikeville, KY, he was a son of Anna Collins of Oil Springs, KY, and the late Larry Collins.

Brad was a physician with the Greenville Health System and Premise Health.

In addition to his husband and mother, he is survived by his brother, Larry David Collins (Cindy), and his niece, Annie Collins. He was like a son to Robert and Margaret Ramsey; a brother to Heather (Pat) and Haley; and an uncle to Greer and Valentina. He will be missed by his dogs, Pinkie and Rizzo, as well as an abundance of friends including Chip and Amber Earle, Sarah Fabiano (Scott) and Amanda Dove (Ben).

Brad’s infectious zeal for life showed in everything he did from the compassionate way he practiced medicine to championing social causes near to his heart. He taught everyone he met that life and love mattered. Everyone that knew Brad will smile as they remember one of the most caring, generous, and genuine souls they ever encountered.

A visitation will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Cancer Institute, BG 9609 MSC 9760, 9609 Medical Center Drive, Bethesda, MD 20892-9760.

Wanda Delong

1945-2018

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, 3 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Wanda Lee Craft Delong, 73, of Hagerhill, who died Sunday, Oct. 21 at Community Hospice Center in Ashland.

Burial will be in the Craft Family Cemetery at Meally.

Carolyn Hale

1947-2018

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 20, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Carolyn Sue Campbell Hall, 71, of Wittensville, who died Wednesday, Oct. 17 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Paintsville.

Burial was in the Hale Cemetery at Williamsport.

Larry Horn

1960-2018

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 21, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Larry Keith Horn, 58, of Bardstown, formerly of Oil Springs, died Thursday, Oct. 18 in Bardstown.

Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville.

Bonnie Porter

Bonnie Jo Meade Porter, age 69, of Paintsville, died Saturday, Oct. 20 at her residence.

Bonnie was born June 29, 1949 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Astor and “Snookie” Cross Meade. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Robert Seth; and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Porter; one daughter, Michelle Porter of Paintsville; one son, Todd Porter of San Bernardino, Calif.; one brother, two sisters; five grandchildren, Ashley Humphrey, Chelsey Moore, Anna Grace Castle, Brody Porter and Harrison Porter; and three great-grandchildren, Josey Leedy, Ella Kate Humphrey and Luke Moore.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 at the Paintsville First Baptist Church with Seth Carter officiating.
