Michael Baldwin, age 47, of Oil Springs, died at Paul B. Hall Medical Center Thursday, November 14, 2019.

Michael was born February 18, 1972 to Larry and Gwen Gullett Baldwin of Oil Springs. Michael retired as a heavy equipment operator.

He was survived by both of his parents, Larry and Gwen Gullett Baldwin of Oil Springs; a special companion, Nancy Lemaster of Oil Springs; one son, Zachary Baldwin of Staffordsville; one daughter, Savannah Combs of Magoffin County; one brother, Larry David Baldwin of Johns Creek; one sister, Tammy Blair of Oil Springs; two grandchildren, Brantley and Zoey Combs of Magoffin County;  and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service was held Sunday, November 17, 2019 in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel starting at 11 a.m. with Roger Hill officiating.

Burial followed at the Baldwin Family Cemetery at Oil Springs.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for contributions to be made toward funeral expenses by contacting the Paintsville Funeral Home at 606-789-5125.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Billy Ray Caudill, 79, of Oil Springs, who died Tuesday, Nov. 19 at his residence.

Burial will be in the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 17, 11 a.m. at the Baker Branch Free Will Baptist Church for Ruthie Bell Hayslett, 79, of Wittensville, who died Thursday, Nov. 14.

Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville.

Russel Kerlin Lyon

1943-2019

Russel Kerlin Lyon, age 76, formerly of Paintsville, died Monday, Nov. 18 in Huntington, W.Va.

Mr. Lyon was born August 7, 1943 in Johnson County, son of the late Tivis and Inez Ross Lyon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Matthew Erik Lyon, and two brothers, Tivis Lyon Jr., and Joe Allen Lyon.

Surviving is one son, Russel K. (Connie) Lyon II of Hurricane, W. Va.; one daughter, Cynthia Marie Lyon (Danny) Hurst of Barbourville, W. Va.; one brother, Mike Lyon of Purlear, N.C.; one sister, Cara Lyon Hall of Allen; and six grandchildren, Matthew Lyon, Rachel Lyon, Hannah Hurst, Christian Hurst, Noah Hurst, and Sarah Hurst.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Ryan Navy officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lyon Family Cemetery at Keaton.

Russel was a proud United States Marine and the Auxier Chapter 18 DAV will conduct full Military Honors.

Morgan Marie Talley

1998-2019

Morgan Marie Talley, age 21, passed away November 11, 2019 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM, Monday, November 18, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Copeland of Crescent Park Baptist Church officiating.

Morgan was born in Paintsville, to Andrew and Jessie Talley. She attended Midland Christian High School in Midland, Texas. Morgan was an avid animal lover and adopted every stray she found. She also loved to go hunting and fishing with her family. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.

Morgan is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Claude and Betty Robison, and Rex and Edythe Talley.

She is survived by her two brothers and a sister, Brady Bennet, Ava Sullenger, and Layne Jaraysa; her father and step mother, Andrew and Tess Talley; her mother, Jessi Talley; her paternal grandparents, Duane and Susan Talley; and her maternal grandparents, Lynette Ball and Bert Slone.

She is also survived by her extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorials may be given in Morgan’s name to Karen’s Place, P.O. Box 726, Louisa, KY, 41230.
