Myrtle Reneé Dorton, 36, of Paintsville, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2022.

She was born in Paintsville, Oct. 16, 1985, to Rushia Ann Witten, of Van Lear, and the late Arnold Ray Dorton.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, Thomas Keith Dorton, Zackery Nathaniel Dorton and Christopher Daniel Hall Jr., all of Paintsville; three daughters, Allisa Dae Price, of Huntington, W.Va., Jasmine Emily Rose Hall, of Paintsville, and Shaley Reneé Hall, of Paintsville; three brothers, Richard Aaron Dorton, of Flat Gap, Billy Ray Dorton, of Paintsville, and Dallas Guthrie, of Paintsville; one sister, Crafty Dorton, of Huntington, W.Va.; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 15, 2022, in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Dorton Family Cemetery, Flat Gap. Friends may visit the Phelps & Son Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Phelps & Son Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home of Paintsville.

Sandra Kay Richardson, 67, of Staffordsville, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date to be announced by the family. The service will also include her late brother, Everett Gail VanHoose.

Paula Louise Wells, 56, of Paintsville, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2022.

She was born Oct. 12, 1965, in Mount Clemens, Mich., to Kenneth Witten, of Frankfort, and the late Sharon Salyers McDavid.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Sue Cook Witten; one son, Jason Witten; one daughter, Cassie Smith; one brother, Kenneth Witten; and one sister, Jacqueline Witten.

In addition to her father, she is survived by one son, Dale D. Wells Jr. and his fiancé, Felicia Day, of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother, Robert Witten, of Frankfort; one sister, Rushia Dorton, of Van Lear; two grandchildren, Briella Anne Wells and Bryce Anthony Day; three stepbrothers, Gene Wilburn, William Wilburn and Michael Riddle, all of Frankfort; and a host of other family members and friends.
