Billy S. Branham, 58, of Thelma died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at his residence. He was born Aug. 27, 1962, to the late J.C. And Elizabeth Fitzpatrick Branham. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Randy Branham; and a nephew, John Branham.
Bill is survived by his wife, Pat Scott Branham; two children: Amy (Jamie) West and B.J. (Angie) Branham, both of Paintsville; stepdaughters: Amanda (Bracken) Salyer of Huntington, W.V., and Heather (Ronnie) Bangham of Paintsville; two sisters: Karen (Howard) Adkins and Carla (Keith) Skeens, both of Louisa; three brothers: Charles Branham, John (Sandra) Branham, and Jeff (Lindsey) Branham, all of Louisa. Four grandsons and three granddaughters also survive.
Per the family's request there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. Mary Margaret Woods Shell, 75, of Paintsville died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, 807 South Mayo Trail ,Paintsville.
Ruthie Mae Stinson, 79, of Flat Gap died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 31, 1941, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Skaggs and Esta (Lewis) Skaggs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Holbrook and second husband, Charles Stinson; one son, Johnny Holbrook; son in law, James Detillion; and several brothers and sisters.
Ruthie is survived by one son, Paul Holbrook and his wife, Leshia of Flat Gap; one daughter, Carol Detillion of Chillicothe, Oh.; daughter in law, Cammy Holbrook of Paintsville; one brother, Kenneth Skaggs of Tenn.; special niece and nephew, Maddie and Lee; special great grand daughter, Gracie; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.
She retired from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, where she worked as a cook.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
