Snow day

One of the biggest snowfalls of 2019 so far combined with rising midmorning temperatures to create an icy, slushy mess across Johnson County roads Friday. Johnson County Schools announced early in the morning they would be closed; Paintsville Independent Schools announced even earlier they would be closed due to illness. The National Weather Service in Jackson calls for rain showers and a high of 61 degrees for Saturday, and a high of 63 degrees Sunday.
