Several people were arrested recently and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

Those arrested, according to the booking log at the jail, included:

Thursday, May 2

Darren Davis, 48, of Staffordsville, was arrested by Johnson County Sheriff's deputies on two counts of contempt of court.

Brian Back, 41, of Breathitt, was arrested by Martin County Sheriff's deputies on a charge of contempt of court.

Gary Branham, 43, of Boons Camp, was arrested by Johnson County Sheriff's deputies on a charge of contempt of court.

Adam Minix, 48, of Salyersville, was arrested by Magoffin County Sheriff's deputies on charges of public intoxication and theft by deception including cold checks with a value of less than $500.

Jeffery Maynard, 27, of Inez, was arrested by Fayette County Sheriff's deputies on a charge of probation violation (for felony offense).

Loranda Dayes, 39, of Salyersville, was arrested by Magoffin County Sheriff's deputies on charges of theft by deception including cold checks with a value of less than $500, first-degree and first-offense possession of a controlled substance, first-offense manufacturing a simulated controlled substance and public intoxication.

Sylvia Skaggs, 35, of Stambaugh, was arrested by Johnson County Sheriff's deputies on a charge of theft by extortion with a value of more than $10,000.

James Stepp, 39, of Louisa, was arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies on charges of first-degree and first-offense trafficking in a controlled substance (less than two grams of methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot). Stepp was charged as a second-degree persistent felony offender.

Bonita Gern, 30, of Fort Gay, West Virginia, was arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies on a charge of second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension and was also served with a bench warrant.

John Montgomery, 39, of Salyersville, was arrested by Salyersville Police Department officers serving multiple bench warrants.

Brett Thomas, 28, of Louisa, was arrested by Louisa Police Department officers on charges of theft by unlawful taking with a value of less than $500 and third-degree criminal trespassing.

Emory Vanover, 60, of Paintsville, was arrested by Paintsville Police Department officers on charges of first- or second-offense public alcohol intoxication, falsely reporting an incident and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Terri Hall, 27, of Thelma, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on a charge of failure to appear.

Friday, May 3

Lawrence McCoy, 25, of Louisa, was arrested by Martin County Sheriff's deputies on charges of first-offense DUI and traffic charges.

Jessie Parks, 33, of Louisa, was arrested by Louisa Police Department officers on a charge of first-degree and first-offense trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine).

Monica Parks, 33, of Louisa, was arrested by Louisa Police Department officers on a charge of first-degree and fAirst-offense trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine).

Benjamin Accord, 48, of Louisa, was arrested by Louisa Police Department officers on charges of first-degree and first-offense trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Accord was also served with multiple bench warrants.

Charles Hall, 45, of Beaver, was arrested by Johnson County Sheriff's deputies on a charge of probation violation (for felony offense).

William Sweeney, 46, of Inez, was arrested by Martin County Sheriff's deputies on a charge of contempt of court.

James Evans, 47, of Staffordsville, was arrested by Johnson County Sheriff's deputies on charges of third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.

Paul Brooks, 43, of Riceville, was arrested by Johnson County Sheriff's deputies on charges of first-degree and first-offense possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

William Cantrell, 34, of Louisa, was arrested by Louisa Police Department officers on charges of failure to appear and receiving stolen property with a value of less than $10,000. Cantrell was also served with a bench warrant.

Clyde Minix, 29, of Salyersville, was arrested by Magoffin County Sheriff's deputies serving a parole violation warrant.

Karen Cole, 45, of Salyersville, was arrested by Magoffin County Sheriff's deputies on charges of third-or-greater offense DUI and traffic charges.

Amanda Vanhoose, 38, of West Van Lear, was arrested by Johnson County Sheriff's deputies on a charge of public intoxication.

Saturday, May 4

Billy Stevens, 21, of Salyersville, was arrested by Salyersville Police Department officers on charges of first-offense DUI, first-degree criminal mischief and traffic charges.

Kylen Ferguson, 23, of Louisa, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on a charge of first-offense aggravated DUI and traffic charges.

Brandy Perkins, 34, of Inez, was arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies on charges of first-degree and first-offense trafficking in a controlled substance (less than two grams of methamphetamine) and first-offense trafficking in marijuana (less than eight ounces).

Arnold Dorton, 55, of Flat Gap, was arrested by Paintsville Police Department officers on charges of first- or second-offense public alcohol intoxication and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Michael Eldridge, 46, of Paintsville, was arrested by Paintsville Police Department officers on a charge of second-degree disorderly conduct.

Sunday, May 5

Frankie Maynard, 42, of Pilgrim, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on charges of first-offense DUI, first-degree and first-offense trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic charges.

Ashley Adkins, 36, of Louisa, was arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies on charges of resisting arrest, public intoxication, false reporting of an emergency and menacing.

Ashley Horn, 24, of Betsy Lane, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on a charge of failure to appear.

Tommie Spears, 57, of Lovely, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on a charge of first-degree and first-offense possession of a controlled substance (opiates).
