Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center (PBHRMC) is warning local residents of a potential scam.

According to a statement from PBHRMC, the hospital and the Paintsville Police Department have been made aware of a phone scam, which displays the PBHRMC’s phone number with a message about car wrecks and warranties. Scammers have altered the caller ID number to make it appear as if the call is from Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center or one of its affiliates.

“PBHRMC will never call and ask for payment over the phone, ask for credit card information or other personal information,” the statement said. “Do not send money or give out your information. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately.”
