A Paintsville doctor pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Pikeville Jan. 8 to an eight-count indictment charging him with distribution of fentanyl.
According to court documents, Jason R.H. Castle, M.D., 42, of Staffordsville, was charged via an information filing on Jan. 8 and immediately entered a guilty plea to the charges.
Castle, court documents show, practiced at two clinics — Eastern Kentucky Family Medicine and New Age Vitality Clinic — located in Paintsville.
According to the information filing, Castle faces a possible sentence of 20 years on the charges, with a possible fine of up to $1 million and supervised release of at least three years. He is scheduled to be sentenced April 30.
