Haley Sorrell, age 16, and her family began a project to construct and fill a ‘Little Free Library” for all members of the community to enjoy.

According to her mother, Lisa Sorrell, the project quickly became a family affair. Haley’s aunt found the perfect cabinet for their purposes, her grandparents helped to modify it, Haley and her father finished the construction and then her little sister and mother helped her to paint it.

“It’s located inside the community garden fence at the Paintsville Recreation Center,” said Lisa. “Please take some books to leave in it and take any out that you would like to read.”

She continued, “’Take a book, leave a book is the Little Free Library motto. Right now, it has some adult and kids books to enjoy. It is actually registered at, www.littlefreelibrary.org, and has a charter number.”
