County officials were sworn in together at a special ceremony held in the Johnson County Fiscal Courtroom on Friday.
Johnson Circuit Judge John David Preston gave the oath of office to all county officials. A separate oath was administered for circuit and deputy clerks, as well as a separate oath for the sheriff and sheriff’s deputies.
Incoming Judge-Executive Mark McKenzie said he was excited to see a room full of people eager to go to work to better Johnson County.
“It’s obviously a different future,” McKenzie said. “New faces and fresh ideas.”
