JCHS students collect food for those in need

On July 2 the Johnson County Schools District announced on social media that three students of Johnson Central High School rallied together to collect non-perishable food items for those in need in their school system. Kelsi Pennington, Dalton Pennington and Lexie Scarberry (pictured above) were able to collect a large sum of life-sustaining food items to be distributed to each county school.  According to Shauna Patton, an employee of the Johnson County Board of Education, the food was donated to the central school board office and was distributed to Family Resource Centers across the county so that, "the FRYSC directors can distribute the donations where they know they are needed."
