Last week, Hazard Community and Technical College released its list of students that received the honor of being named to the Dean’s List and President’s Honor List, many of whom were from Johnson County.

To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must attain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale and successfully complete at least 12 to 18 Kentucky Community and Technical College semester credits of coursework numbered 100 or above (excluding any courses considered developmental), the statement said.

Those honored on the Dean’s List, according to the statement, were David Blake Meek, of Van Lear, Richard Wesley Patrick, of Paintsville, Michelle Price, of Boons Camp and Stephen Matthew Ratliff, of Meally.

To be named to the President’s Honor List, the statement said a student must earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average and successfully complete at least 12 to 18 KCTCS semester credits of coursework numbered 100 or above (excluding any courses considered developmental and without withdrawing from a course).

HCTC students from Johnson County named to the President’s Honor List for the fall 2020 semester included James Brandon Hitchcock, of Hagerhill and Christopher Keaton, of Keaton.
