The Paintsville Independent Schools Board of Education met with representatives from Droneport USA, Hazard Community and Technical College and Big Sandy Community and Technical College Wednesday to officially sign an agreement to initiate the school’s new drone pilot and unmanned systems technology pathway, which Paintsville Superintendent David Gibson said will allow students at Paintsville High School to graduate with a certification that will allow them to pursue a career as a drone pilot.
