DOMESTIC COORDINATOR
JOB SUMMARY
Domestic Coordinator is responsible for duties involving attraction site buildings.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Responsible for upkeep of cabin attraction and other site buildings.
*Responsible for herb garden and landscaping of grounds.
*Demonstrates period cooking.
*Interpret attraction buildings, history.
*Demonstrates or coordinates the making of candles, weaving of materials and other grounds demonstrations.
*Maintain inventory, storage of the attraction buildings’ collections.
*Set up workshops in field of expertise in coordination with Site Director, advertise with Site Director the available workshop.
*Treat visitors with respect at all times.
*Will wear attire of the period of history of the 1850’s when on the grounds.
*Other responsibilities as assigned.
*Work with direction from the Site Director on any promotions or activities for attraction.
*Site Director will provide schedule of volunteers. Domestic Coordinator will work with volunteers to ensure their time is productive and of interest to tourists.
WORKING CONDITIONS
*Position will be full-time.
*Employees work under supervision of Site Director and Tourism General Manager.
*All employees will exhibit good hygiene and personal grooming standards.
*All employees will refrain from smoking in non-smoking areas of attraction.
*Position will entail evening and weekend work. Physical labor is required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
*Knowledge of herbs and flowers that are native to area.
*Public speaking and knowledge of attraction buildings.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
*Studies in horticulture
*Knowledge of regional history and culture
